Håksberg - a field with ancient roots

The mineralization in the Håksberg field occurs in four elongated parallel zones from the bay at Lake Väsman in the south to Källbotten in the north. About 80 percent of the mineralization consists of magnetite and 20 percent of hematite.

The indicated mineral resources at the Håksberg field down to the 350-metre level have been estimated at 25.4 million tonnes with an average iron content of 36.4 per cent. Below the 350-meter level, historical deep-hole drilling down to around 800 metres, suggests that the ore bodies continue to depth. Current mineral resource estimates indicate at least 11.6 million tonnes with an iron content of around 36.0 per cent, according to the JORC standard.
