Exploring the potential of Blötberget

We are working to increase the mineral resources in Blötberget. Through ongoing exploration and drilling, the goal is to identify up to 35 million tons in new resources - a significant increase that can strengthen the conditions for future mining.

What do we investigate?

- The extent of iron mineralization
- Phosphorus
- Rare earth elements, important for the green transition

Why do we do it?

Geological surveys, such as magnetic surveys and seismic profiles, have identified areas of potential. By drilling and analyzing drill cores, we want to get more certain answers about what is actually in the bedrock.

What happens next?

- Exploration results expected in the spring
- Updated mineral resource estimate may be available during the year
- It is hoped that the results can be included in the new feasibility study

Our latest studies show interesting results for rare earth elements in particular:

Neodymium (Nd)
Praseodymium (Pr)
Dysprosium (Dy)

These metals are essential for the production of permanent magnets, which are used in electric cars and wind turbines. They are also classified as critical raw materials in the EU, as they are not currently mined in the Union.

We look forward to sharing our progress. Follow us on Facebook, Linkedin or Instagram for regular updates.
