New renderings show the planned mining facility for Blötberget and Väsmanfältet

Plans for Nordic Iron’s future mining operations in Blötberget and Väsmanfältet are taking shape more and more clearly. New renderings show what the planned above-ground facility at Skeppmora might look like and how the various parts of the operation could be located within the area.

The planned industrial area is located roughly between Blötberget, Gräsmossen, and the existing railroad. Plans for the site include a processing plant, a crusher, an ore storage facility, a concentrate storage facility, a loading station, industrial rail tracks, and office and workshop buildings.

A key factor is the proximity to existing infrastructure. The railroad runs right next to the planned industrial area, creating the conditions for efficient transport of the finished concentrate to the port in Oxelösund.

The visualizations are part of the effort to illustrate how a modern mining operation for Blötberget and Väsmanfältet might be designed. They also make it easier to show how the operation is intended to function above ground and how the various parts are interconnected.

Nordic Iron is continuing its work to develop the Blötberget and Väsmanfältet projects with the goal of establishing a modern mining operation for the production ofultra-high-grade iron ore concentrate, as well as an apatite byproduct containing phosphorus and rare earth elements.
